She Converted To IslamPrior To Meeting Omar

Initially, Avery had planned to move to Syria to be with Omar when they realized he would not be able to come to the U.S. on account of the travel ban. However, the young married couple ended up living together in Dubai instead. After Omar's visa approval, they quickly moved to New Jersey where he has family. It is unclear whether the couple will remain in New Jersey long-term, as they've talked about moving elsewhere in order to better pursue their career goals.
She's Still Close With Her Family
Avery married Omar shortly after converting to Islam. She was only 19 years old when they wed and following the ceremony, she announced that she planned to move to Syria to be with him. Not surprisingly, her supportive mother Teri, often seen in90 Day Fiancé, was concerned.
According to fans, many 90 Day stars are the worst parents, but Teri is easily one of90 DayFiancé'smost supportive mothers, even traveling to Lebanon for her daughter's wedding. Teri and her former cheerleader daughterstill have a strong bond and are likely able to spend more time together now, since Avery is living in the U.S. again. Additionally, Avery brought her little brother, Ethan, to Dubai and took him to the World Expo, posting a video collage of the bonding experience on her Instagram page.

Omar, whose father passed away when he was young, encouraged Avery to foster a relationship with Dusty. Now, the couple appears excited about the possibility of her father's future release. Hopefully, they will be able to remain in contact with Dusty during this challenging time.
SheDefended Another 90 Day Franchise Alum
Avery did not appreciate the way fellow franchise alum Yazan's family treated Brittany on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. When Brittany visited his family's home in Jordan, her future-father-in-law called her a "prostitute," and berated her for the way she dressed on her Instagrampage.Avery was very vocal about the fact that Yazan's family could have used their meeting as an opportunity to encourage Brittany to learn more about Islam, instead of verbally attacking her.
She & Omar Don't Plan On Making Any Future 90 Day Franchise Appearances
Even though Avery and Omar have become fan favorites, Avery insists their time with the franchise has come to an end. It doesn't seem like there's any bad blood between the couple and the show, but it is likely the show doesn't align with their values. 90 Day Fiancé has garnered much criticismover the years, so it's possible the couple has more than one reason for wanting to distance themselves from the series.
The couple seems to be focusing on their careers, schooling, and their relationship. They can hardly be faulted for their ambition. Fans, on the other hand, have been vocal about wanting to see outspoken Avery on Pillow Talk, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon.
She Enjoys Traveling
Avery lovesexploring new places and seems to have found a travel buddy in her husband, Omar. While many cast members have been deemed the worst partners on 90 Day Fiancé,Avery seems to have found someone who shares her values and enjoystravelingas much as she does. The couple has documented their travels to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, Canada, The Bahamas, Washington D.C., New York City, and West Virginia, among other destinations.
While vacationing, the couple always makes sure they learn as much as they can about the place they are visiting and they often share that information with their Instagram followers. Now that the couple is thinking about moving out of New Jersey, it is likely they will consider a city filled withculture and interesting tourist attractions.
She & Omar Both Work In Healthcare
Omar is one of a small handful of 90 Daystarswho had successful careers before the show. He is a trained dentist who was practicing in Syria when he met Avery. Omar recently passed the U.S. dentistry examand just needs to complete some schooling before he can officially practice in the United States. He is now pursuing a Masters in periodontics.
Avery also appears to be interested in a career in healthcare. She is currently working as a medical assistant while in college earning a degree in Healthcare Management. Fans have applauded Avery and Omar for continuing to work towards their education and career goals instead of getting caught up in celebrity antics, as some cast members have.
